will this help my GPS?

from the tutorial i saw the following information (see below)
im curious if copying the PPST_080407.CAB, the assisted GPS hack.cab and the firsir_GPS.dll will help?
since i have the official rom, is there any reason to for steps 1,2 and 3? can i just goto 4?

1. Run the 2.31.coke unlocker to unlock your device.
2. Flash the leaked Sprint ROM(this will install the 3.37.15 radio) and ALLOW customization to run.
3. Flash ghettofreeryder's V700 ROM and ALLOW customization to tun.
4. Copy PPST_080407_7500_SPCS_2.03.sa.CAB to device and install.
5. Browse to the Windows folder and run PPST.exe. Soft reset when finished.
6. Copy Assisted GPS Hack.cab to device and install.
7. Copy Virsir_GPS.dll to Windows Folder.(You will need Resco Explorer in order to see the dll file on the device)
8. Install the latest version of Google Maps.
9. Soft reset your device.
