Re: Installing a new ROM on Vista?
I'm assuming you mean restoring your data after flashing a new ROM. I would think that it will work the same way, but w/ WMDC, you can't be sure about much . It took me nearly a year just to be able to sync my 700WX w/Vista. I'm not altogether sure what the issue was, but after I flashed Landon.Epps Full ROM (Verizonized), it went without a hitch. I would suggest using a backup program and/or creating a DashWire account, to be doubly sure that your data will be available.

Re: Installing a new ROM on Vista?
I upgraded my sprint touch to the new official rom on vista ultimate with no problems
It syncs my calendar and contacts fine with office 2007 via mobile device center with zero problems |

Re: Installing a new ROM on Vista?
yah, it works the same way as XP/ActiveSync does. Just make sure you run the update utility as Admin.

Re: Installing a new ROM on Vista?
Don't know about the other vista folks here but I disabled advanced network functionality button on the device before flashing to the 6.1 rom (start/settings/connections/usb to pc/ uncheck the box). I read it somewhere here on this forum that this helped on vista during a rom update. Honestly, I've not had much luck with WMDC as Geekcop mentioned (other than the rom that is).

Re: Installing a new ROM on Vista?
Every ROM I've done to date has been on Vista Home Premium. As said above, always run as admin to prevent an error from occurring. WMDC works just as well as AS, I actually prefer to be honest.

Re: Installing a new ROM on Vista?
I have flashed my Titan and Vogue more than a combined 50 times using Vista Business and have never had a problem. Well, other than the fact that I need to pick a rom and stick with it...
