PDANet question

Hey Guys, I am on the Bell network and wondering if anyone on this network has used this product. I have been told that some cellular companies are catching on to this software. Has anyone had any experience on this network with this, and any known problems. I am very interested in purchasing it but don't want a $30,000 phone bill.

Re: PDANet question

I used PDANet with my Verizon XV6700 and it worked great. I had the unlimited data plan but, even with that, Verizon doesn't allow laptop tethering -- they want you to pay an additional $15.

I was concerned that Verizon would notice my high data usage, but they never did. But I really only used it once every few days for only an hour or so at a time.

Ive been using PDAnet for over 3 years on bells network.. with my first 6700 then the Mogul and now the touch.. it works great and I have never had additional charges.. just dont abuse it.. torrents downloading huge files etc.. surfing and email etc.. is fine.

Re: PDANet question

Used PDANet for the first time last night with my Bell Touch to play online poker at work...yeah, I know, I'm bad.

Anyway, while I played the laptop was updating antivirus and Windows at the same time. Total data up/download was about 28 MB.

Checked my bill today and all data is listed as mobile browser at no charge.

That and I won $26.

So, it's all good for now.
