Re: Who has the best Custom Sprint ROM and Why
I'm currently using WDM's Final BAM Version.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=31783 I was using Derek's which is very smooth and decide to try WDM's. Battery life is good (About 6 hours) and I didn't let the SprintTV, SprintMusic, or SprintEmail (mainly because I don't use them, SlingBox is great instead of SprintTV) The only thing I don't like is that the HTC Customizer doesn't work, but I'm hoping that he can work it out. Thanks WDM good job on the ROM. |

Re: Who has the best Custom Sprint ROM and Why
You say battery life is GOOD with only 6 hours?!!? WTF? What is bad then? DHarvey's has shown the best battery / overall performance for me. I can go almost 2 full days of normal use......

Re: Who has the best Custom Sprint ROM and Why
Honestly, you are going to get what everyone gets when they ask this kind of question here. I have seen it at least a dozen times in both this and the Titan forum. There are going to be 3-5 top winners in terms of roms to try and for pretty much all the same reasons on each. Do yourself a favor and just dive in.
Read up on a couple of the more popular ones (by thread post count) and pick two or three that look really good to you. Then roll the dice, draw straws, flip a coin, whatever.. just pick one and flash it. Give it a good day or two and run it like you would normally. Install your normal apps. Basically beat it down. Then flash the next one that looked good to you. Beat that one for a few days. Than the next one. In the end, you will find the rom that is best for you. Not me or any of the other members here, but for you. Because we all have different needs and desires from our phones, and only you can really ever know what you want and need. And believe me, if you are worried about getting yourself in a bad spot, someone here will come to your rescue. That is why we are here. So just go for it ![]()

Re: Who has the best Custom Sprint ROM and Why
OMJ, his rom is awesome just because he is dedicated to providing updates and support from day one. His tweaks and fixes are carried over to every new updates that he comes out with.
Other rom chefs will just abandon their work in about a month or completly build a new rom and the bug-o-rama starts again. Not to mention that "I have a wife, kid, and a job" excuse they give out. Not that anything is wrong with that excuse, but it's a lame excuse to not fixing bugs in their rom. OMJ always comes through with updates and support. OMJ's rom is the best.

Re: Who has the best Custom Sprint ROM and Why
Totally agree with Walla. If I didn't cook my own, I'd be running OMJ's. His is almost always based off the latest official release, so you know it's going to work on your phone. Then he adds in some performance tweaks, makes the software more user friendly, tests it himself for a bit, the overall the best for support as well from what I've seen. And he's got the job, wife, kid, and rumored a dog too but he's got a good thing going...

JD's ROM is my favorite. Simplicity and speed at it's best. There is nothing on my Touch that I don't need or use.

Re: Who has the best Custom Sprint ROM and Why
In my opinion, the best rom is the rom you cook yourself using either buildos or the dogkitchen (I use buildos because it's a little more user friendly in my opinion). You get to choose only the programs that you need. If you don't want to make your own rom, the best is the one where the chef is always to support it like omj and dharvey. There are a few more but those are the chefs that I can think of off the top of my head that progides 24/7 tech support for their roms.
