changing default apps
I want to change the buttons on the bottom of the screen (calander and contacts) I'd like to be able to change what they do or change the default contact exporer to lets say Icontact by default. how do you do that is there a program for it or do I have to do a reg edit?

do a search for the programs keyswap or advanced configurations. Advanced configurations is in the ppcgeeks kitchen, so if you cooked your own rom, maybe you already have the program.

Download the attached file and install it on your Touch and you can do a lot with it. Look for the settings under Key Mappings to change it...

AdConfig also allows you to do some other things, but if your looking for just the softkey changing, this is the program i use

i recommend advanced configuration.. you can do a lot of stuff with it

I picked this up from one of the other threads:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Today>Keys 112 is the left "soft key" Default = the text in the button Open = Program it opens to set the right key you will need to create the key 113 and then set its values. |
