Re: Tethering w/Alltel
You know i have no idea... they want an extra 10 bucks a month for tethering and i guess you get a code but i dont have it and use IS all the time, expecially when im not at home... maybe they upgrade you to the 40xxx prls but thats easy to do by myself.... idk

Re: Tethering w/Alltel
i think the 40xxx prl is used for blackberry (because of the stupid "everything has to go through our servers" thing) and evdo pcmcia cards... Its suppose to have more evdo towers in it... tested in davenport iowa, 3xxxx didnt have evdo there and 40xxx did!

Re: Tethering w/Alltel
40XXX PRL were nice about a year ago, they were the first series to allow roaming on sprint EVDO, and maybe they are still the only ones that still do. But I know back in 2007 the big deal about the 40XXX was it allowed for spring EVDO on data cards. And they were mainly used for data cards.
for a list of all PRL files see this site. http://corolada.com/prl/ |

Re: Tethering w/Alltel
Without the tether code, you will use airtime while tethering, in theory. Don't use it, so I'm not sure.
