Motorola adapters don't work on HTC phones. I found one on ebay which I've been using but the it's no longer up. You can do a search for usb to 3.5mm htc and you will find a few.

Does anyone know of one that has you can hook up a 3 ring 3.5mm plug so i can used my wired headphones that have a mic on the line?

This is the one that I'm currently using:

So far I've had no major issues with it. Some benefits of this one are:
a) it's got a mic too, so I can use regular headphones with a mic (as requested by pocomike)
b) it's much more flexible, so makes it easier to stick in my pocket or move around and whatever (e.g. won't force my plug to stick out of the touch now that it's sideways, and don't have to worry about how it sits in my pocket).

+1 on this adapter. Just got mine in from amazon and it works great. Fits in very snug!
It is pretty small, and has a charging port. $4.47 total!

It was my understanding that the touch has an 11 pin mini usb while this adapter has 5 pins. This really works and sounds good? Thanks.

what I did was goto the local mall which has those cell phone accessories kiosk and asked the sales rep. if they had a "2.5(male) to 3.5(female)" adapter with the build in mic/answer button included along the wire. Plugged that into the HTC "2.5/usb power" charger that comes included with the touch, then connected to a "3.5 to 3.5" cable to car AUX, and bam! Working power charger, music and tomtom(L/R stero), mic for in-car calls(button), etc....

total cost = $10(retail), -$5 off with some haggling

side note... do not try this with the HTC "usb audio/usb charger)... from my test, going that route will only give you the option to either charge OR use audio with both audio/charger plugged in, but not at the sametime.

I guess I should have read this before purchasing the razr adapter. I can confirm that it does not work. I guess that's what happens when you try and save a buck.

I just got mine. Definitely works great. It is smaller than it looks. It also has a design that fits well with the leather holster for the Touch. What a great deal! Anyone reading this with a Touch, I was skeptical at first, then I got it and believed. This is the one to get.
