Telus Vogue Help!

I recently got the telus htc vogue and i wanted to upgrade it to 6.1 to have a gps, wifi and rev a, but i'm not sure wear to start? I know i need to unlock the phone how do you do that, i know i need the rom which i have and how do i load it? then do i need to relock it? I'm completely lost someone please help me with links, websites whatever. Thank You
