How to un-install Opera 8.5 from official Sprint 6.1 ROM

pls help me - I just installed Opera Mobile 9.5 1780 build and am really really happy with it.. i just want to un-install the previous version and i still am able to start it from my Start menu items. I tried to un-check it in Settings -> Menu items list but it throwed some error and did not let me un-select it. There were also two Opera Browsers listed in that Menu - settings screen.

Is there anyway to un-install sprint given opera 8.5 browser.. also ditto goes for sprint store and sprint nav - i want to un-install these two apps too...

i am using the official sprint ROM 6.1 and am hesitant to use an cooked rom's or do a hard reset.. i was kinda hoping for either registry based mod or some other fashion to unstall these programs..

You may uninstall the new Opera 9.5 first.
Then you can delete the old opera executable under windows folder
Then reinstall Opera 9.5

If you are willing to do another Hard reset you can have it not install the files when it customizes.

Connect your phone to your PC and do a hard reset, when it asks you to tap the screen to setup you phone (before the screen alignment) let ActiveSync connect to the phone and go to the windows folder and drag the config_pt.txt file to your computer and open the file. remove the lines containing the CAB files you don't want to install and push the config_pt.txt file back to your phone then continue with aligning your screen and let it customize itself. (the config_pt.txt file is a read only file so when you drag it to your computer go to properties and uncheck the read only box)
