Thanks to OMJ's custom rom with a super easy way to tether I finally did a speedtest and am very excited about the speeds I got! OK so here we go.. this is with about 2-3 bars of Alltel REV A. (look at siggy) I've done a few tests and did pull one with 500 kb/s upload but 1843 was the most down I could get. All in all im very happy with the results thanks ppcgeeks for everything

yep, speeds are great with this rev a. , my only problem with it is with basic cruising it takes too long to format the page. For example.. my office uses 512kb dsl.. the evdo/reva is definitely faster yet the page displays alsmot instantly on it.. and takes 5-10 seconds longer on the vogue... guess this will be solved later with faster cpu's and better streamlined web browsers. Tethering proves this.. and I guess also proves how fast our handhelds could be someday.
