Phone Application

Can anyone tell me how they access the phone dialer easily? any sofkeys or something on the home screen. Seems the only way to get to the phone application is to tap start then the phone icon, or go to the launcher or cube. there must be a more convenient way to access the dialer since it is a phone afterall. Thanks for all your help guys, let us know what your favorite way to access the dialer is.

Re: Phone Application

Yes, it is delayed by a very short amount while redrawing the gui. Alternately if you'd not like to use the green call button, you can use the ATD command via puTTY utilizing the serial connection provided by bluetooth. This will definitely take the most possible amount of time to dial a number. Good luck with your dialing issue!

Re: Phone Application

for me, the talk key doesn't always work. sometimes i have to hit end before talk, just to get the dialer to show. very sluggish in my opinion...

Re: Phone Application

This is how I set it up...

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112

(112 is the left soft key)

Default = Phone
Open = cprog.exe

Re: Phone Application

I wish the talk key worked right from the beginning... I hate how sometimes the phone app doesn't pop up... and sometimes it re-dials my last call, without showing me anything...

I always tend to hit END before I even try to hit TALK, since I have a better chance of getting the phone to appear.

Also, sometimes it seems like I have to hold the phone button down for a long time to get the app to appear... like it doesn't recognize an instantaneous key-press. I feel like I have to hold it for 100-300ms for it to register.
