No more vogue.. even at Verizon!??!

Hey guys... i went out shopping for a cover for my 6900 yesterday. I live in West Springfield, MA and i went all over Wilbraham and parts of West Springfield looking for a cover for my 6900. Well no store had the 6900 for sale! Even 2 Verizon stores had phased them out, their werent even any accessories for the units!

One store told me the manager got it when it first came out and hated it so they didnt sell it. The other one took it down due to lack of sales. So i went to all the local phone stores that i thought had 6900's on their networks, maybe i could find a case there. Well most of the places laughed at me, they've had the Vogue phased out for a long time according to some places.

Whats up with this? is the vogue really this bad? The 6800 is still being sold at the VZW i went to where they phased out the 6900!

I don't know, I even looked at their website, and didn't see anything. Probably because Sprint dropped theirs to $99 and V-dub likes to rip people off.

if your still looking for a case goto ebay. i got s soft covers(3 diff. colors)for 6.95 total price theres also lots of hard cases cheap. came in 3dys from sender.

I just checked the VZW website and it's still there.

Well its sad with this phone really. Because straight out of the box it blows, but once you mod it, its better than an iphone (IMO). No one really knows about modding though, so to the average consumer the phone isnt really marketable.

yeah thats what im starting to think as i use it more. it seems more delicate then it is and with one of those rubber/silicone cases its really a nice reliable phone. before i had the case i dropped it off my motorcycle while riding at 20mph! It bounced a bit then skidded on the pavement to a stop a few feet from the curb, i slowed down pulled into the nearby parking lot and parked as close i could to the phone and ran over to grab it before someone ran it over. Their were some very slight scuff marks around the edges and back of the phone but i had put the clear sheild over the lcd so that took all of the slight marks and left the lcd perfect. Their was nothing major or even really noticeable. I was just a little upset because it was brand new but after a few weeks i wont be able to tell desk scuffs from the road scuffs. I'm amazed it did so well.

Now if it was the white VZW model.... i can imagine that would look a lot worse. I wish they would keep that black mold, i dont know if it actually help cusion it but it seems like it does.

Still selling them where I work, in fact just got one in Friday...readily available through my wholesaler....no word on vzw phasing theirs out yet. Sprint has informed us they wanna be out of stock on them for the Touch Pro release though. I dunno how accurate it is but thats what my sprint rep has told us...

Every Sprint store I've been to steers you away from the Vogue. The sales people hate them because uneducated customers constantly return them. I agree, out of the box they truly suck. The first time I tried one out at Radio Shack, it froze up and I hated it.
If it wasn't for this forum, I probably would have never bought one.

the phone is definately not made for uneducated people hehe, my friend bought the same phone and he hates it with a passion, he always talks about how much better the Iphone is and how he is going to get one of those hehe. Iphone=great for uneducated :P
