Device VS Storage Card

Hey guys, I was wondering where everyone has set up there programs, files etc. Can you save the actual programs to the storage card or must they be running from the device, the way i was saving and installing things was at follows:

Programs: device
Files: storage card
Backup Files: storage card
picture id's: device
regular pictures: storage card
music: storage card
cab files (Uninstalled): storage card

Please let me know your thoughts its like always greatly appreciated.

I don't really know much yet about ppc's, but I have been saving/installing everything basically exactly how you just described your phone.
