I get fast uploads, but whats with the slow download speeds?

My download speeds are continually this slow, and Im tethering over USB, using Dharvey's rom. Any ideas?

That's my average on reva which is only rated for 1.4Mbs which is close to what you see there, and you must realize you won't get the ful 1.4 unless you have perfect coverage and no one else is using it. For comparison here is the result on my 10Mbs (Stupid canada) cable connection.

Thats a pretty good speed. According to Sprint EvDO is between 400Kbps - 800Kbps. Anything higher is Rev-A. I've seen people get over 1500mbps, but thats highly unlikely in most areas.

here are my results, but my average download speed is 45- 60 kb/s

whats up with that?

Sounds fairly close got to remember these are kilobits not kilobytes that the speed tests test for.

noob question how do i test on speedtest.net ? i dont seem to have the flash player...is there a specific version for WM?

I believe most people tether their touch to their pc and then run the speed test on their computer.

i think they are running it on a desktop while tethering. The new opera almost had this running for me but it was slow going and I got impatient.
