Touch Keyboard + Typing ~ How is it?

Hey.

I'm new to the site, but have a Palm Centro right now. Unfortunately, I'm going to return it because my voice isn't coming out right on the other end.

I'm debating between a Touch and an Ace. Looks like many more buyers for a Touch, but the Qwerty keyboard on the Ace is what the big deal is.

I was wondering.. how's the keyboard once you put on that program called PocketCM keyboard?

The thing is, I love the added functions of the Touch over the Ace, but I need to have a keyboard, so I can text and stuff. Will this keyboard simulate a keyboard on the iPhone?

Anyways, even if it doesn't simulate the iPhone, please give me some feedback on the keyboards, programs, or HTC Touch vs. Samsung Ace.

Thanks.

The keyboard CM isnt the best typing solution IMO. I find myself pushing the wrong buttonss even with the big skins.

I like using TouchPal. Its a big learning cuve IMO, but once i got the hang of it I love it. I even like it better than most full sized KB's. Its very fast, and quick acces to the smilies and things like that. But at times, I did wish i had a full KB, becasue the bigger the kb the less screen spacce you have And this might be my last phone that does not have a KB.

Unless the Diamond rocks!

I agree. TouchPal is pretty great, but it took me about a week or so to get used to it. I actually came from a T-Mobile Dash to the Sprint Touch, and while the full QWERTY was nice on the Dash, I really prefer the Touch w/ TouchPal over the Dash.

Re: Touch Keyboard + Typing ~ How is it?

Okay.. thanks for the suggestion. I'm really just attached to the touch cause of all the customizations you can do including GPS and Rev-a. Btw.. I'm going to pick it up today!

I was wondering if someone could help me setup tethering on this phone on a laptop running Vista x64.

Thanks a bunch,
Fr3shY

Re: Touch Keyboard + Typing ~ How is it?

Right now the price looks like $600 US and that's way out of my price range. I'm keeping to $150 max.

Let me know though.. what's the release price w/ 2 year gonna be like? If it's like $200.. I wouldn't mind.
