No sound/vibe on texts either...

I only have the version of Opera that came installed with the new ROM (8.65?)

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? I get phone call rings fine...

Have you checked Settings->Sounds and Notifications? The Sounds tab should have Programs and Notifications checked. The Notifications tab should have Play Sound and/or Vibrate checked for Messaging: New Text message.

I'm getting the same thing. I'll set it to work, and it'll work fine until I reset the phone. Then they go away. They're not set by default when you flash the ROM.

So far it seems to be a problem with the rom, I haven't been able to find a way to save the setting maybe there's an option in the registry because when it gets reset or even if you just go to vibe only then back it won't save the ringer for texts.

Download and use the latest Opera released on the 29th. This issue has been resolved.
