Data Connection Keep Alive

Guys,

I tried a search, but came up with nothing, so here goes:

I am looking for a registry edit or some type of setting change that will allow me to keep the Data Connection active at all time on my Touch.

I previously had a PPC-6700 and I had a slick lil program loaded called ppc6700 hacks... There were a ton of things I could change with this program, and one of those was to turn the Data Connection to "Always On"

Is there something similar for the Touch or am I out of luck here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Data Connection Keep Alive

This is a shot in the dark but if you sync with an exchange server "direct push" for e-mail, it should stay on. At least mine seems to...

Re: Data Connection Keep Alive

If you keep it running all day, you're going to drain your battery very quick.

Using http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2008/07/...tra-hacks.html you can set you connection(s) to stay active or disconnect after a certain time.

Menu->Connection Settings...

Re: Data Connection Keep Alive

im confused, I thought the data connection stays on unless you turn it off? mine does, as I hate waiting for it to dial, so I never turn it off.

Re: Data Connection Keep Alive

If you can look around in the forums here you should be able to find Advanced Configuration. I'd post it if i had the cab but I cooked it into my rom.

If you open that, click on menu on the right soft key, click connection settings, then if you "right click" on the data connection you can set it for always on.

Enjoy
