GPS Question

How many of you (if any) have used a GPS unit connecting to the Touch via bluetooth for their GPS needs?
Which one would you all recommend and does it drastically drain the battery or not?

Re: GPS Question

Why would you use an external instead of the one built in? I know stupid question, just wondering.

Does the Touch's GPS use the cell towers for GPS? Or does it actually get a signal from satellites?

Re: GPS Question

It's real GPS, from the satellites. I was just on a fly-in fishing trip in Canada, no cell towers for miles. GPS worked just great.

Don't waste your money on a bluetooth GPS.

Re: GPS Question

When using GoogleMaps it shows "aquirring satelites" so I would assume as stated above that it's using them opposed to towers.
