WiFi capable with Touch?

Is it safe for me to say that the Touch will never have WiFi working on it wether there is a micro SD card available or a software update to enable it?
Because in europe the Touch GSM versions have WiFi.

That's a cool gadget but then you'll lose your sd card slot.
