Problem with instant messenger on new rom

Hey guys I'm having a problem with my AIM. I have the latest rom installed and finally decided to use AIM. I went to the cube and pressed the button and installed the cab. When I sign in it show like I'm signed on but I can not see any of my buddies. I sign on online and have like five buddies signed on but on the phone it shows 0/0. I have tried unistalling several times and reinstalling and several soft resets and nothing....

Any suggestions thanks,

I recall having to sign in online via PC and indicating I was on a mobile device at one point many moons ago. Not sure if this would block your contact list from displaying on your phone though, can't really think of any reason why it would.

I'm sure you've tried to refresh you contact list through the menu options?

I have attempted to refresh several times. I never had this problem with the old rom only with the new rom have I encountered this problem.
