Power button problem...

Using an HTC Touch with the upgrade. Prior it was working perfectly.

Now, the phone does not go into sleep mode, it just powers off and to get it to turn on again you have to hit the reset button.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Re: Power button problem...

hard reset or reflash. It sounds like the actual button is sticking.

Re: Power button problem...

Tried that a number of times. Thing is the button works when trying to power off the unit.

Re: Power button problem...

If flashing to a different/custom ROM doesnt help then its a hardware issue and needs to be taken to a service center.

Re: Power button problem...

Called HTC and they said it was a known issue and the phone has to come into the service centre. I also noticed that the persons battery was not charging over 30%.
