Getting rid of opera as default

I have te new 6.1 ROM and when I click on a link in an email it launches Opera even though I have the Opera as default box unchecked. How do I stop this from happening and can I get rid of Opera altogether by uninstallig it? I cannot find an uninstall option for it.

Soft reset did not work.

Re: Getting rid of opera as default

Mine did the same thing. I set it to default. Soft reset, then unchecked the set to default. That stopped it from being default.

Re: Getting rid of opera as default

dumb question - where'd you find where you could set/deselect opera as the default? I couldn't find it under settings.

Re: Getting rid of opera as default

same here, i cant find the option in opera to un set it as default. i have build 1660. i like using opera to surf the net, but to launch my own htm file, i prefer PIE because its a big faster to launch.

Re: Getting rid of opera as default

Does the Darknes cab uninstall or just remove it as default? Also, I am refering to the version f Opera that is included with the Touch Vogue 6.1 ROM which is version 8.65. I would really just love to remove it altogether.

See my post #8 I am referring to Opera 8.65 which came bundled with the Sprint 6.1 ROM update.
