Question Connecting TomTom device and Touch

I have a TomTom device (730) and I can't seem to get it to pair with my phone. Neither stock (right out of the box) or with a custom rom works. Has anyone else been successful at this? I'm using a Verizon 6900.

I am using my own rom from the 20270 kitchen. I also had the same results on the previous two kitchens as well.

Any help is appreciated.

Re: Connecting TomTom device and Touch

You might have to be a little bit more specific -

You are trying to pair your TomTom device with your phone?? Why?

Usually you install TomTom onto your phone and then use the phones internal GPS in conjunction with the Software and maps installed onto the phone.

Am I missing something?

I do have have TT on my phone but I like to use the dedicated device for trips. My device has hands free calling via BT. So I am trying to pair them so I can use my TT device for speakerphone instead of having to wear a BT ear piece or wired headphone.

First make your 6900 visible by going to start, settings, connections, bluetooth, mode, turn on bluetooth and make this device visible to other devices. Then make your tomtom unit search for a bluetooth device

Sorry I should have said I meant outside of the basics. I know how to pair devices and all those settings. I was trying to see if there was some other non-obvious settings / rom option / cab / etc that was needed to make it work. Or even better if someone has tried it.

Yes there is and I set it as well to search for the phone. It is likely just a compatability issue between the devices that may not be able to be resolved. Was just hoping someone else ran into this and had better luck.
