GPS NEVER gets a lock!

ok, so i have upgraded my alltel vogue to the newest radio and i can still never get a gps lock.

i know with alltel, its gps enabled but not gps ready
in google maps when it says seeking gps satellites (0)...
it always says 0, i also have tried gps viewer and ive let it sit outside for 30min and it never gets a lock. is there anything else i can try

i have followed every gps tutorial on this site (ppcgeeks).

its starting to get very frustrating.
can someone please help me

U lost me here "it's GPS enabled but not GPS ready" What does it mean?

i requires further mods out of the box for the gps to work

an enabled GPS is GPS ready. U meant it's "disabled". U have to hack it to "enable" it

I can only assume that U did not enable the GPS function for some reason. and I don't know how to tell if the GPS is enabled. Sorry.

I'm in the same boat as you dude. On GPS Viewer, I get a bunch Sat's but don't know if it's locked or not. I go on Google Maps and it says "Seeking GPS Satellites (0)" but I get a blue dot showing my location but it is a few blocks off. I don't know if people are getting the blue dot mixed up with an actual GPS lock. I'm assuming that if there is an actual number in the brackets then it is working. Someone, anyone please confirm if a number should be in the brackets. I'm losing my patience trying to figure this out.

I'm also on bell, and yes, just go outside and wait 3 - 5 mins for a lock. It will show the number of sats. When I do it inside, I cannot get a lock like others can. Just try it outside, and let it search for at least 5 mins.

I've tried that but it seems like it keeps searching to no end. GPS Viewer shows a bunch of sats but Google and GPS Today never shows anything.

Question --> On GPS Viewer, does it show your longitute and latitude coordinates?

It does, but only after 3 - 5 mins on a cold start. Remember, if you're trying it on a cloudy or rainy day it can take even longer. Sometimes it's taken upto 10 mins for a solid lock.
