How to force Touch to use LAN/ActiveSync connection for data when connected ?

Does someone know how can I force Touch to use the LAN connection over ActiveSync when connected ?

I would like to sync/downlaod some podcasts via LAN/ActiveSync as opposed to using the Sprint data connection before I leave for the train rides to/from work.
