How to force Touch to use LAN/ActiveSync connection for data when connected ?

Does someone know how can I force Touch to use the LAN connection over ActiveSync when connected ?

I would like to sync/downlaod some podcasts via LAN/ActiveSync as opposed to using the Sprint data connection before I leave for the train rides to/from work.

I know if I plug my Touch into my computer on the corporate network, once I successfulyl sync via active sync, and I try to access the web via my phone, it prompts me for my active directory username and password on the phone (out going firewall access). Once I type this in I am authenticated through my works network and it uses data via the LAN instead of over the air.

Hmm... I deleted old partnership and said 'No' to 'Allow wireless data connections...' but get 'Cannot Connect' error ... "the current connection can not be used for your request. Please end the current connection and try again'

Did you have to change aything else in any settings ?
