Turn off Dialer sound/Instant End

I just recieved my touch and noticed that dialing is a little slow, I know that turning off the sound of the number you press will make it faster, but I can't find out how to do that, can someone tell me how to disable sound in the dialer. Also, is there a way to make it so that when you press the end key, it ends the call right away, and doesn't wait a second or two?
