Seido Innocell 2000 Extended Life Battery (Sprint Touch); Any Thoughts?

Has anyone tried this battery out, just curious of real people comments?

If anyone here has it, does the phone still fit in the original HTC Touch Holster?

don't know about the holster, but I'm running it. Works great, battery actually lasts about a day and a half under heavy talking/texting/data/GPS situations, it's tough to kill it in a day. Also, works just like a stock battery as far as being compatible with the battery gauges, 1% increments, etc.

I'm using Dharvey's 2.9 sprint ROM and it's ROCK solid.

I was afraid of that, I am not a fan of the plastic holsters; I know that compared to others this is one of the best, but I prefer the soft cases.

thanks for the info.

I opted for two extra batteries (aftermarket) with 1100 mah each. They came with cool little chargers which have flip out 110 volt prongs and a USB female. The original battery is so easy to change and so small that I just keep a spare around. Much cheaper than the blob even for both setups.

I bought a different extended battery and had to change to the following holster:
New Swiss Mobility Universal Horizontal Commander Pouch

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN:IT&ih=023

It's more heavy-duty than the OEM and it was inexpensive.

Re: Seido Innocell 2000 Extended Life Battery (Sprint Touch); Any Thoughts?

Real men don't need no stinking Holsters! We free phone it!

I tried to go with an extra 1100 battery from ebay. It was a pos, I got frustrated and just went with what I know works. Get a recommendation from someone here on a good ebay seller, their are too many people selling cr*p on there these days. The Seidio battery works great, liked it on my Treo so much, I bought one for the Touch. I don't talk much on the phone but I stream and bluetooth for 6.5 hours continuously with it. I'll go a couple of days if I don't stream.

I beg to differ, it does indeed fit the original holster that came in the same box as the phone when I ordered it. (OEM HTC Holster)

It even fits in the moguls holster also.

As for the battery...it's good! The back that comes with the thicker battery tends to have a really TIGHT fit though...

Re: Seido Innocell 2000 Extended Life Battery (Sprint Touch); Any Thoughts?

Yea I literally just took out my holster and put my Touch in it after reading this thread and it fits (a little snug, but fits). I don't use the holster though so...

Anyway, the Battery Life of the 2000mAh as opposed to the 1100mAh is amazing and lasts insanely longer. Granted I didnt use the phone much today (maybe 5min. worth of calls, a little internet usage, and using a couple of other programs), but it was basically off the charger all day and i'm still at 90% battery life. Whereas with the same usage on the 1100mAh I would probably be at like 60-70% The thing that intimidated me the most before getting the extended battery was if the phone would be a lot thicker or not. Yea it's a little thicker and a little heavier...but it's not intimidating at all. Definitely worth the buy.

Re: Seido Innocell 2000 Extended Life Battery (Sprint Touch); Any Thoughts?

I have the 1100 from Seido and it sure was a tight fit. I would like to order this 2000 one but hope it is easier to fit in with the included cover.

Re: Seido Innocell 2000 Extended Life Battery (Sprint Touch); Any Thoughts?

$50 for a battery? Ouch.

Keeping the phone thin and light is a priority for me. You can buy three extra regular batteries and a nice phone/usb dock and battery charger for less than $50.

If you turn the data connection off using a timer (say after 5 minutes) while you are not using the phone you will find the 1100 battery lasts longer.
