Syncing stuff from my phone to a new computer...

I use ActiveSync w/ XP at work, but I just got a new machine w/ Vista, and would like to import my stuff (contacts, etc) off my Touch onto Outlook onto my new PC. (Outlook 2007)

What's the best way of doing this?? I have the device partnership set up through Windows Mobile Device Center and everything.

Thank you!

Re: Syncing stuff from my phone to a new computer...

Is there an issue with developing a partnership with both machines?

I sync my touch with the work computer and my home computer (two different partnerships) with no problems.

Is there an issue using two different OS's (Vista and XP?)

These are questions I don't have answers to. Vista recognizes my Touch fine, and "Syncs", but nothing shows up in Outlook. Nor do appointments I create in my Outlook calendar sync to the Touch on my Vista machine. I have the sync settings all checked properly to sync calendar, contacts, etc.... but nothing.

Re: Syncing stuff from my phone to a new computer...

I sync my Vogue with a Vista Business PC, a Vista Ultimate PC and a Windows XP PC with no problems of partnerships with any of them. I only sync with three because one is for work and one is for home and the Windows XP one is where I store all my music at home (400+ GBs) and sometimes it is just easier to plug in and grab what I want.

All that said, I don't sync email or contacts from any of my PCs as I use Exchange and push mail, which also syncs my contacts. But I seem to remember that WM can only sync email and contacts from one PC, exclusively. Though I could be wrong...

I sync my Touch at work on XP and at home on Vista without problems. Whenever I've had to change machines I always delete at least one Partnership before I try to add the new one.

I've found Vista's MDC to be a bit flaky but it works most of the time.
