update: just made the same registry changes to the alltel vogue, which stopped getting locks after I had cooked the files into a rom last night. Locks on five satellites after a soft reset after making the registry changes.
so can you post the exact steps, is the 3 files you posted still needed, then GPSMode 4, then soft reset (i dont think that worked for my verizon 6900)?
id like to see you start from scratch with a rom, do your changes, try gps, record the time it takes to cold start lock, then do all the changes and try agian and record time. ill try this tonight, but i dont think it was successful. ill let you know.
btw my PRI is 51019 version 1.37_002. i guess those files, just let files run that before might not of, kinda like letting developer's programs run by always allowing program to bypass active-x restrictions?

How did you figure this out? I went to a couple of sites and put in this IP address and got some weird results.

Re: Update verizon PRI and Sprint AGPS

Just thinking out loud here. I m not an expert. But the three files posted on page 1 of this thread came out shortly after alltel released its gps/reva rom. So maybe those 3 files work better or only with the alltel radio. So taking this a step further does alltel have an AGPS server? Maybe a match made in heaven for those verizon user. The only reason Im thinking this way is because i used the Alltel Rom with this fix and I recieved locks at my home in 10seconds. That has never happened. I notice though its not working for all that have posted on this thread. Im wondering if the other verizon users are using the sprint radio rom???
It could be placebo for me. I hope not. Ill report back tomorrow if it was.

I'm going to be away this weekend so I won't be able to reflash my phone til Monday. Then I'll try the gps without the three files first and see what happens. I continue to get immediate fixes with the registry changes, and I do have the three alltel-fix files. BTW-I do have the sprint 3.42.+ sprint radio, and my rom is custom based upon the 20226 build.
