Stuck on 1X internet speeds, not getting EVDO anymore.

I have the Sprint official ROM that leaked here a few weeks ago.
Not sure what happened, but I have done a few soft resets and ran IOTA, but I still can only get 1X.

Any ideas?

If it were me, I would do a hard reset (after a backup of personal stuff, not a complete backup) and then soft reset before the Sprint customizations start. Then, if necessary, run IOTA. I had something similar happen to me before and a hard reset fixed it.

you could try forcing it into EVDO only mode and see if it has signal. But be aware that leaving it in EVDO only mode will make it so you cannot receive calls or text messages, only in hybrid and 1x only mode are u able to recieve texts and calls.

To do so:

1) Obtain a registry editor (I use Resco Registry)
2) Navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\
3) Change the value of 'HiddenModeOperationPage' from 1 to 0
4) Save
5) Soft reset

It didn't seem to want to remember the value of 0 for me the first couple times, and I'm not sure why.

What this does:

-Adds an item to the list at 'Phone - Menu - Options - Services (Tab on bottom)' that is named "Mode of Operation". The default value of this is Hybrid, which will prefer EVDO, but will use 1X when not available. I seem to get better reception at home if I change the option to 1X Only. hope this helps
