Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

If email turned off and backlight down low, then it drops to 80 by end of day

No idea what Guitarheroes and dopewars do... are they actually running ? all the time ?

Otherwise.... do you have "push" email going ? constant email polling ?

your 100% roaming is probably doing some damage... if you can afford to, try an experiment... put your phone in Airplane Mode for the whole day, see if that makes a difference.

if you're going roam... do the force roam option.

otherwise... perhaps you have a bad device or battery... order a cheap extra battery from ebay and use that, see if that makes a difference.

I've had mine for 8 mos now... one of the batteries is starting to lose capacity so I just swapped it out. I get a full day's worth of usage, including about 30-45mins of talk, 30 SMSs, several email polls (but NOT push), several web surfs. All in all, not too bad for a 1300mah battery... I do have to charge every night... I do NOT leave it on the charger overnight though... always worried about overcharging... so its best to pull it off the charger after its fully charged...

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

My phone is on 24 hours a day because I use it for a main line home phone. I keep the phone on me all the time and turned on. I do not use push email, just manually send/receive as needed a couple/few times a day. I keep the phone locked with the display off and also use the internet and GPS at least a couple times a day. I also use the SMMS a couple times a day along with about 2-6 text messages a day. I average a few calls a day that total about 1 hour or more of talk time. I unplug the charger at 7:00-7:30am and plug it back in at about 11:00pm-midnight and I usually have half to 3/4 of the battery left when I plug it in at the end of the day. If I use the internet or GPS a lot during the day and talk way more than normal, I'll plug in with only about a 1/4 of the battery left.

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

Today I left my house at 6:30, its now 1:41 and I'm at %56. I made about 4 calls lasting about 5 mins or less. Got 2 texts, sent 2, my back light and sounds are at %40. No email and I checked my online banking. I drive all day so i know i hit alot of dead zones and roaming zones. Apps running are S2U2 wisbar and just the pocketplus home screen (no other P+ features enabled).

Humm do you have all incoming beams turned off? did you set weather panel to only update when you want it to and not on a timed interval? also do you turn off your data connection when you arent using it? or do you leave it on all the time?

OH nice i over looked weather panel (it was set to 30 mins). I'll mess with the data connection settings there default. Also what do you mean by incoming beams? Thanks!

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

Yeah I'll agree with what has already been said and say coverage is a key factor. I have two push accounts and average about 40 emails from my work acct and 20 from my personal and text about 20 times a day and surf the web. at work my battery is down to 20% by 3:00 and at home its down to 60%. My signal is good at home but it strugles at work.

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

How do you guys get it to last so long?
I was hardly using it ... just for texting.. which i turned the screen on like every 5 minutes because of a text lol which might do it and some music and i turned it off at night while i slept and it only lasted a full day and then i turned it off and then half the next day... almost no data either.. not heavy

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

I can't make it through the day either. Coverage at work sucks. I'm constantly switching between roaming and not roaming. I have push email enabled on 3 web accounts. Also I usually leave bt enabled. I suppose that eats into the battery as well.

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

I must have gotten a good OEM battery. I have had it for about 5 months and it lasts all day...with some to spare when I plug it in. I use GPS...Rev. A surfing the net...and taking pics. My battery last all day...
