Direct 3D

I see where there is speculation in the Treo 800w forum that the 800w includes direct 3D drivers which help make it much quicker than the Touch or Mogul. I have tried the 800w and it does appear quicker, however, its current program incompatibility and poor battery life are killers. If they can do it for the 800w, why not for the Touch and Mogul?
