Unable to send/recieve SMS after ROM Upgrade

Hello,

I'm sorry if this issue was already posted but I searched and could not find it.

Anways....I upgraded my Sprint Touch to the latest leaked sprint rom. Everything went fine, I can make and receive calls just fine. However, I can not send or recieve sms messages. When I hit the messages icon all I get is outlook e-mail and when someone sends me a text my phones backlight turns on and then nothing happens.

I hope someone can help me fix this asap.

its months later but the same is happening with my verizon phone with 6.1
