The problem is they don't have an API or an i-Frame for us to work with which makes it kinda hard to wire into the Dashwire solution. If/when things change, we'll definitely look at adding it to our service.

Re: Visual Voicemail
I use phonetag, essentially you forward your voicemail over to them and then everytime someone leaves one, their system transcribes it into text and either emails or txt messages it back to your phone (and even other email addresses/phones). So there is no more "checking" voicemail... the contents of your messages are all onscreen.
http://www.phonetag.com/ I'm on the pay-per-VM plan since I don't get many. It's 35cents/message. -j |

Re: Visual Voicemail
Interesting thread.
I have noticed something new in the last month or so that i never had before. Ususally, if i had an un-listened to voice mail, someone calls and leaves another (raising my count above 1 unread message), i would not get an indication of another one. Basically, everything would just say "1 new voice message". Since i have been flashing a few roms, i've noticed that my indicator for S2U2 shows me how many voicemails i have. Any sprint phone i have ever owned only said "you have 1 or more messages" you have not listened to. Never a count like this. Anyone else get this? |

Re: Visual Voicemail
I have been with Dashwire for a while now. In a few words: I LOVE IT!
All my pictures, videos, contacts, call list, txt msgs, speed dials can be controlled via the web portal, and I can publish any pics/videos I want to, so my friends and family can immediately see what I capture on cam! There is a way to setup privacy too, so no worries. Although I have tried Dashwire as automatic without problems, I actually prefer the manual sync setup, just because I also have System Seven for my all my email accounts and during work hours I don't want anything to interfere. And long videos do take time to upload, of course. The only feature that I do not currently use, is their visual voicemail (via CallWave), but not because it does not work, but because SPRINT charges $.20 per minute of forwarded call. CallWave is free, but unanswered calls are forwarded to them, and then they in turn record the msg and send it to your phone. Once I read something about emailing Sprint Customer Support asking not to be charged for UNANSWERED FORWARDED CALLS... anybody knows anything about this??? Other than that, I must say that whenever I have needed DashWire's Support, they have been great, super responsive and very helpful. Let me say this one more time, I luv my DashWire! |
