Today/Home screen alternative for the HTC Touch

Does anyone know of a good home screen/today screen for the touch that has all the features but is not as big at the HTC home screen? I like the HTC home screen but it takes up over half the screen. Also, how do you change the boot/startup screens for the touch?

I have settled on the below combo. Today Clock, spb weather, spb phonesuite and GPS Today. I never have cared for that plugin...

Where do you get that today clock? Also, how do you change the start up/boot screens on the touch?

The clock is available here http://project.ionized.googlepages.com/pdc. You can apply different fonts for a different look as well.

And to change the bootup screens you'll need to flash those images, or reflash the stock rom. The boot upanimation you can change, but I don't have my notes with me...
