How to receiver email alerts

I've been using push email with windows live, it's been pretty sweet except that i don't get email alerts (like blackberry) when an email comes in.

does anyone know how i can get email alerts?

Go to settings - sounds and notifications; select incoming email from the drop down and choose a sound to play if you wish and screen notification and /or blinking if you wish.
