Re: Data connection won't stay off??
well without thinking about it, which i'm kinda just not wanting to do right now... you could change the number the phone dials, that way the data connection won't connect...

Re: Data connection won't stay off??
if you have an exchange server setup then the new default for check intervals is "as items arrive", you may want to go into active sync and set the schedule settings different otherwise advanced config can completely disable a connection

Re: Data connection won't stay off??
I turned off MS direct push mail and set active sync to manual. Data connection then stays off for moment. Any data app will still restart connection (dial #777). How do you get to advanced config to keep data off but still permit voice calls?

Re: Data connection won't stay off??
You may try this software : NODATA. It is supposed to be good for that.

I know about active sync options. What are you saying about Otainstall.com? Did you find utility to disable data? |

Re: Data connection won't stay off??
I got the Nodata cab. Great!! Does the job!
Now I can relax and not worry about data charges in the US next week. $30/MB for Bell folks roaming in States. It still seems strange the regular data manager on Touch can't keep data off. |
