SEPTEMBER 2nd for Sprint!

Some blogs are speculating that the HTC MP6950 is the Touch Pro model number.

The Diamond is suppose to come out a month before the the pro, but the original release date that I heard for the Diamond was October, so the pro might be here October/November.

Pluse the Diamond is the replacement for the Touch (PPC 6900) the mogul is PPC6800

I got so use to not having a keyboard because of that I would have preffered the diamond over the touch pro but no micro sd slot really sucks. Especially since I use a 8gb sd. 4gb wont cut it for me so I might be leaning towards the touch pro now that you guys have made me aware of this info.

Each new "line" receives a big upgrade (6600, 6700, 6800, 6900) so the new one would be 7000 or whatever.

Don't get me wrong, I am praying that it will be the Diamond or Touch Pro, but I do not see that happening, especially when the Touch Dual Confidentiality agreement is up in August with the FCC, while the Diamond is in Oct.

I'm gonna go ahead an let it out... A CDMA version of the Touch Dual will be arriving later this year... I'm pretty sure that's gonna be it... It makes sense, the Touch = 6900, Touch Dual will probably be the 6950...

They are speculating for good reason...the Diamond had the MP6900 model number listed on all previous Sprint, HTC, and FCC papers and that is why the MP6950 would -appear- to be the pro.

I agree, afterall-- PPC != MP and the Touch Diamond and Pro would still technically be part of the Touch (6900) family.

Then again, MP could just be something as stupid as Microsoft/Mobile Phone, so who knows. Doesn't change the fact that I will be upgrading from the Mogul to the Touch Pro immediately upon its availability as long as the price is right.

Nice to hear the Diamond will be oput soon.....but here is my question.....will it have WiFi? You might ask why do I need it ...well I travel overseas and just the thought that there are many hotspots including hotels...it would come in handy because I would love to dump my Deell Axim X51v and just carry one unit. But knowing Sprint they will kill GPS again as usual and cripple WiFi.
