Stuck on Roaming

using an Alltel HTC Vogue.

Flashed my phone using ghettofreeryder's Vista rom.

Can make calls, use internet.. gps works fine.

however.

I have the roaming triangle to the left of my EVDO/Service Icons no matter where I am at now. When i recieve calls it tells me "Incoming Roaming Call From xxx-xxx-xxxx Additional Charges May Apply". Does not prompt me with anything when i make calls about roaming charges...ect.

Just wondering if there is a fix for this(followed the flashing/updating instructions 100%). if not i guess can deal with it just saying incoming roaming call...just want to make sure i'm not actually being charged for roaming calls when i am in my normal area where i have normal service.

anyways, any help would be much appreciated. thanks

This can be fixed by re-flashing an official Alltel rom and that will reflash the radio. This sometimes happens to me. Re-flashing an official release fixes it.

Re: Stuck on Roaming

actually this sounds liek a classic problem i have with my alltel phone and the SID number. here's the link to another post, read the optional part in the middle

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...94&postcount=6

check your SID and if its been reset to a 1, you need to fix it but that would make everything roaming

Re: Stuck on Roaming

I've heard it can also be caused by the evdo info not being authenticated *shrug*
and supposedly changing it to working data should fix it... if that's the cause for that
particular phone... such as a phone that has been swapped carriers
