Center button (dial pad) to return to Today Screen

Does anyone know how to get the center button (dialpad) thingy so that when you press and hold it will take you to the Today screen. It is very useful if you are using an application and you need to get to the home screen similar to the iPod touch.

thats a good idea, i would like have something like that too... how bout the animation of the today screen zooming in like the iphone does?? hmm? lol maybe not that but the center d-pad idea sounds great

One can use AEButtonPlus to customize your buttons but I have not personally tried to use the long press center button to get to the today screen since the "end" button already does that.
