Re: Vogue Car Cradle???

Check out proclips - a bit pricey, but excellent function and quality.

Re: Vogue Car Cradle???

I bought a vent mount when I went on vacation last week. I picked it up at Best Buy and paid way too much, but I kind of needed it right away. Its a universal Grip-It mount from Bracketron. Worked great, I was able to use the GPS during my travels, and had internet radio streaming over it to the rental car via an FM transmitter. The mount held the whole thing steady and was adjustable enough to where I could always keep the glare off of the screen.

What Kind of FM transmitter are you talking about. I've got Sirius and love it, but it would be cool for friends that don't have it if I were to ride W/ them.

Re: Vogue Car Cradle???

Picked up a "Touring Item Type S Universal Holder" from Target on clearance for $1.98. Nornally, I think it is about $8.00. Has adhesive for dashboard mounting or can use vent clips. The side grips can be adjusted to fit the Touch. For the price, it works fine for me. Haven't seen any true car mounts yet such as the SEIDIO G4500 for my now unused AXIM.

Re: Vogue Car Cradle???

This may sound odd, but it really works great for me. I have a Mio H610 GPS unit. It came with a really nice window mounted bracket that's very adjustable. The phone sits in the cradle very nicely, loose enough for a minimal amount of play so that it slides in/out easily. Plenty of clearance at the underside of the cradle for the charging and eaerphone ports (the chargng port for the H610 is in the same spot). I know that Mio sells the mount and bracket separately.

Re: Vogue Car Cradle???

just dont get one with a snake arm, it likes to bounce while driving which makes gps software not work as well... you can see it when the road goes up and down

It was a Belkin TuneCast. I also had to buy a headphone jack adapter to use it with the phone.

Re: Vogue Car Cradle???

I too use a grip-it. Its the only one that goes wide enough to be used in landscape. And I installed a Motorola T605 kit into my truck so I have handsfree and A2DP built in now! Resco Radio is a great addition to that set-up!
