Finally found a fix.
vjtoggletodayiialpha.exe

The prob is when you run that, it hides the top bar and not the bottom bar and you're screwed. That is because it doesn't set up the registry entries properly.
The cab I include here copies vjtoggletodayiialpha.exe to your \Program Files\HideSoftKeyBar\ copies a shortcut to that file into \Windows\Startup and copies the necessary reg entries so that the top bar is set at 26 pixels and the bottom bar is 1 pixel, the downside to this method is that you see a thin 1 pixel high line across the bottom of your screen as in my pic (hard to see unless you zoom in) But at least at works!
