GPS sharing? Help me out

Long story short....

I want to map all of the wireless networks in my hometown. I have all the necessary applications, but I was curious if anyone knew a way (possibly application) that would let me use my phone as a GPS receiver for my PC....

anyideas?

Re: GPS sharing? Help me out

how about everything in one and get paid for it too....
Navizon.
it won't tell you whether their "open" or not (yet at least), but it will do all the other hard work for you...

also it is the only way i've been able to share my gps over bluetooth. (it will let you output the signal to another com port)

you could also look into gpsgate and gps2blue, but i've not had much luck with them.

Re: GPS sharing? Help me out

lol, yea, i'm an idiot,, need sleep.

I mostly use it to keep my gps primed 24/7

also shareing the gps over bluetooth was the only thing I tried, as I was wanting to share with my 6700

Dated: 6/11/2008 Software Version: 1.14.0013.0

I've downloaded this software because I was curious, even though it doesn't say that it supports the Touch. I really like what I see so far, even though I haven't gotten it to work. I am interested to see if anyone can get it to work with the touch and if they can access the GPS information from the Touch. I don't have the GPS enabled because I'm still on the sprint stock rom with wm6, but I shouldn't even worry about whether the GPS works, because I can't even connect to my Touch yet.

EDIT: unfortunately I found this in the User Guide:
"Currently, the Sprint SmartView software does not support GPS receivers in phone handset devices."
