Icons!

Would it be easier to make these icons work with the Home Custimizer? Just use the pic of the icon and rename the files? Just a ideal! Never tried it before. But we still need copy of the files to even try anything.

just update your touch rom to the new official sprint rom, which is a good and stable rom btw....once the rom updates do a hard reset and than when it loads to the today screen and the screen says will customize in 3 seconds you soft reset your phone. than wihen your phone starts up you will notice that you have the red icons. now to get all the sprint programs installed just go to the windows folder and browse for the cabs and install wat you want like sprint tv telenav, etc..this is one way you can do it...hope this helps.

Verngator - You are right, the plugin is OperatorLauncherPlugin. Sorry to confuse, my 63 yr old mind had slipped back into WM v6.0 where it had a different name.

Savior02 - Many thanks, your method works! But now I have the huge task of getting all my two dozen apps, reg edits, and settings back where I want them. Probably won't keep the red icons, but it sure feels good to actually have them for now:

If you update to the new official rom the icons will be on your phone. You don't have to hard reset your phone if you let the Sprint Customizer run originally when you installed the new rom. The icons are still saved in the Windows folder. All you have to do is edit the ql_skin_l and ql_skin_p .xml files in notepad on your pc.

Sorry I am so late in posting this, but this is the first I am seeing this thread.
You don't need to re-flash a ROM to accomplish what you want.
To get the red icons all you have to do is rename 2 files and reset your phone. The files are 'ql_skin_p' and 'ql_skin_l'. They are found in the windows directory of the phone. Rename them to 'copy of...' (in case you want to switch back) and after you reset, red icons!
Old Man Jenkins has a great post about modifying these files to get any apps to launch from those icons.
