ok so check this out!!! thank u Dan Harvey!!

so on Sunday night into Monday morning i met online with the esteemed Dan Harvey... who out of the kindness of his heart had agreed to try and help me with my internet issues with cricket on my touch p3050 branded for telus. well unfortunately we went down alot of different avenues but were unable to figure out what was wrong.... we tryed putting a new rom on the phone.... nothing... to make a long story short i am hoping that dan will reply to this thread and kind of explain the different processes we went through together and possibly we can get some feedback as to where we possibly could have gone wrong...... at the end of the evening we were still getting the same error message when trying to log onto the cricket internet of wrong username and/or password...
PLEASE HELP!!!! LOL
thanks

Usually if it's branded for a different carrier, that's why it doesn't work on your service.

I believe that I know what is wrong but unfortunately I'm at work right now and don’t have access to my notes. I will try and reply to this when I get home and help you with your issue. if I am right, it has nothing to do with the ROM you are using nor does it have to do with your WAP settings. I had the same problem with my sprint htc touch when I upgraded to the new GPS enabled leaked radio/blackpill cooked ROM (also using cricket). It was a change I made in the EPST menu that made the difference which got changed somehow during the flash to the new radio.

Re: ok so check this out!!! thank u Dan Harvey!!

In reply to the first post, we did ALOT of messing around with that phone that night. First I build a ROM with Cricket carrier settings and that didn't help. Then we added new connection settings. Nothing. We added the login and password. Nothing. Tried to update the Cricket PRL to the latest but could not because GETSPC would not work on the phone for some reason. It kept generating a code that wouldn't work.

We did alot. the only thing we honestly didn't try was to flash the Sprint official ROM, get the MSL and then zero everything out with the QualComm QPST tool. (that would have taken a while and it was already very late)

So if anyone has an idea that I missed, I really hope you can help him out because I tried almost everything I could think of.

-Dan
