Vibration during touch screen interaction

I too am worried about the exe. Any others try?

just tried the exe file-
pretty much vibrates every time you touch the screen

i tried typing stuff and if you tap about once/half sec it works ok, but typing any faster or holding down on the screen is kinda wonky

and it's really weird having it vibrate when i'm scrolling... or tapping my d-pad

for me, i'm just going to stick with the dialer vibration.

I use Touch Commander and it allows vibrating screen taps among other things....works great.

okay so after installing the dialer .cab, i tried to uninstall, and what do you know, it doesn't give back your old sounds
so the following is how to get the default dialer sounds back:

with a registry editor, browse to HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\
the keys of interest are Dtmf#, Dtmf*, and Dtmf 0-9
in each of the keys, delete the 'sound' value pointing to some strange dll in /Windows (i don't remember the exact one and i don't feel like reinstalling the hack to find out )

Then, add a new DWORD value with name 'Sound' to each key, with the corresponding data value of the numbers 0-9 and for Dtmf# 11 and for Dtmf* 10

so for example:
In HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf1 delete the value named 'sound' and add the value 'Sound' containing data of '1'

sorry if that's confusing, but if you're like me it frustrates me when i can't fix things back to default and i was about to hard reset before i tried this, and what do you know, it worked!
