GPS Inconsistency

I have the new "official" ROM and the GPS has been very inconsistent. Sometimes it locks on quickly in LiveSearch and others it doesn't lock on at all. Sometimes it locks on and then freezes. Anyone know of a fix for this?

try omj's new rom. run all the upgrades he shows on his post. i get gps locks in about 10 seconds even inside. hope that helps

Thanks but I've been trying to stay away from the non-OEM ROMs.
