new offcial sprint rom gps issue

does this rom come with gps enabled.

i have flshed to this rom and installed tomtom.

tomtom says no gps device.

do i need to do anything else after flashing to the new sprint rom to enable gps

You need to use something like AstroGPS to get the GPS started for TomTom.

+1 or use google maps or live search. the problem is the GPS requires an intermediate driver which none of the gps program support except for live search and google maps

I installed the sprint rom and i can't get google maps to give me a fix.
Do you press my location ?? How do you enable the gps part of this rom .

I'm having the same problem. I didn't have this problem with a ROM from the kitchen, just the official rom.

Today, I just checked the use GPS on the google menu and it found a satelite and away I went . Works great.

I have garmin XT no problem with that. It finds sats on its own, and it does have intermediate driver.

i had the same problem and then i ran windows live search. gps worked and has been working on google ever since.

I've had issues before where after flashing gps would not work. Even with the official 6.1 rom. I use gpstoday to kick start. I just set it to permanently run until gps starts working. After a flash I have seen it take 10 minutes and even a half hour to get the fist lock or as short as 10 seconds. Not a clue why. Now after every flash I make sure to run the gps over night, while charging, once. Could be in my head but I think it works better after the overnight run.
