It's a shame making drivers isn't a simple task. I wonder if we could put the money to use paying the chipset makers to make the drivers? I dunno, just shootin the poop.

I think HTCClassAction.org has been trying to do that for a while now. Theres over $7000 raised in the kaiser forum.

I doubt there is one developer out there who will come along and claim this. If there is, they aren't talking. There is a group of developers (myself included) who would love to tackle this if and only if there is a better organized team effort. Right now there's an 'every man for himself' attitude going around. We're not going to get very far doing that. I know that I can develop a piece of these drivers but not the entire thing, I believe this is the case for a number of developers.

Well as far as I know noone has gone and created a special "money-holding" account so if noone claims the prize then noone has to send the money.

What about this lawsuit?

This site has been created because HTC so far has done nothing. We hope this site will get some publicity and more people will be aware of these issues. The more people who know, the more people who can contact to HTC and their mobile service providers. The more people who contact HTC, the higher priority these issues will get. The more people who contact their mobile service providers, the more chance there is the providers themselves will complain to HTC. If that happens, you can be almost sure HTC will correct this issue.
However, there must always be a backup plan. For if the above doesn't work, we are still stuck with underperforming devices. This is why we are investigating a possible class action lawsuit against HTC. This will again raise public awareness, and maybe, just maybe, we can force HTC to take action this way. See the lawsuit page for more information on this. Note that if you are a lawyer we can most certainly use your help on this as well!
Ultimately though, this site is about getting the issues resolved, and publicity is the best way to do that right now. If a class action suit is required to get that far, then that is exactly what we plan to do.

guess they made a cab for the kaiser. here's the info:

These drivers require a Kaiser (TyTN II) and a ROM based on the official HTC WM 6.1 update!. Exactly which ROMs are compatible is not yet known. We have tested this on multiple Kaisers, but all of them were running Dutty's Diamond V1 ROM. It is extremely unlikely that these files will work out-of-the-box on any other MSM7x00 based device (at this time).

Here's the cab if anyone wants to tinker with it. FOR KAISER ONLY, NOT VOGUE.

Does anybody know if/when a beta set of drivers will be posted for the Vogue instead of just the TyTN II? I would totally consider donating money if I could try some new drivers.

I'll pledge $50.00 and $0.02 cents for my input if this happens before I upgrade my device. I pledged because I doubt this will happen, and if "it does" I have the tools to test it. But which developer capable of doing this is going to drop his job to do this in hopes that a bunch of folks from an internet forum will pay him?

I wonder if the CDMA Diamond would yield some benefits for this? Should we start a fund for one? It is coming soonest to telus here in canada, I'd be willing to help with getting one. I am just useless when it comes to programming.
